Modern by Nature: Ansel Adams in the 1930s

This exhibition inaugurates the Museum’s new photography gallery in the new wing and the unprecedented partnership between Phoenix Art Museum and the Center for Creative Photography. The decade of the ‘30s was the most prolific, diverse, and experimental in Ansel Adams’s 60-year career. This exhibition includes 62 of his extraordinary photographs from this period, from the Center for Creative Photography, in Tucson.
